I need help with smart switch on laptop

How can I backup all the stuff on my S8 phone (settings, tweaks, home page setup, basically everything little thing) onto smart switch on the laptop? I keep getting an error message or it just won't simply backup, indefinitely saying 'backup lists being backed up...'

You can't back up every little thing unless your device is rooted as back up apps of any kind do not permit "cloning."

If my device were to be rooted however, how can i ensure that every little thing is backed up mate? Thanks!

I haven't rooted a device in years but the app at the time was Titanium. Be warned you could brick your device. Certain apps such as banking apps, Sky TV Knox apps, etc. You will find rooting will wipe your phone. After I lost interest Magisk became the latest way to gain root access without tripping Knox so perhaps you may want to research that.
