I've just transfered my old A20e to my new A22 5g via Smart Switch and my secure folder hasn't transfered. My A20e is now dead. How can I get the folder and contents back?

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced with Samsung.  I have been using Galaxy since S4.  Just got an S24 yesterday, used Smart Switch (ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING about needing to back up Secure Folder first).
Like everyone else, my Secure Folder on the OLD phone (which was not transferred NOR manually deleted) is now empty.

You guys really need to at least give a warning if not disable the function to delete Secure Folder files (which are not transferred in Smart Switch, so why on earth would they be deleted from Secure Folder during the Smart Switch process).

$2,000 phone with such a horrible function causing people to lose their most valuable data!.

Very disappointing.

Now why wouldn't have Verizon told me about that?

That is some BS system from Samsung. Never did they propmt the user to backup the secure folder while transferring or resetting the phone. Pathetic Experience.

Hi Shannon.
I found a solution to this if you still have your old phone.

I believe this is it:
(8 Ways) Recover Deleted Photos from Secure Folder With/Without Backup (imobie.com)
I believe I used method 1.  Download DroidKit  (need to root device but not difficult if you follow instructions).  It is a paid app, but the files appeared before I had to pay.
SO, I think if you download the app and follow the rooting instructions, you will probably then see your Secure Folder files appear in the original folder (not secure folder).

Good luck.
Mark
