As the title suggests, when using the regular gallery app, the auto rotate settings on the phone are respected and when the rotation is locked the screen will not rotate, however when using the camera app and tapping on the gallery view in the bottom left corner snd viewing the gallery that way, the screen will auto rotate regardless of the setting chosen for auto rotate.
Ideally the camera app would not auto rotate full stop when the setting is not enabled so the controls would not rotate depending on how the phone is held if the setting is not set to auto rotate.
If you turn rotation lock on the rotation should lock for the entire device, having apps that don't conform to this is inconsistent and bad practice. Even worse is that it can't be turned off in the camera app
