Hi

I can't figure out how to disable the SmartView and nearby devices functions, because I don't need them..., can't I?

The same goes for "Wifi Direct", deactivates it automatically when you're not using the function (no button)?

thanks

Pull down from the top of your phone. You'll get the panel with Bluetooth, hot-spot, WiFi, blah blah.
There's also smart view. Just press on it to turn it on or off.
I use mines regularly to screen mirror my phone to my Samsung TV when using a website or an app where I can watch new series fromall the tv apps (disney, paramount, prime, HBO etc) and movies (in cinema or even okder one) for free. That's when I use it. But I just turn off hotspot to use smart view. As smart view is disabled when hotspot is on and active. So if yiu cabt find the smart view button to turn it off just turn on the hotspot. That'll fix it for you.
Hope that helps and sorts it for you. Enjoy your day. 😉

You can turn them off, force stop them but not disable them. Both of these are under system apps in your settings. (Settings, apps, click the three lines, then show system apps and serch for them.) It gives you the option to force stop them, but since they are system apps, they can't be disabled.

that's why, thanks, no spend more time to search

I had already to do this, but after restart, app go on 😕

the only solution find for the moment, for me, is to leave the nearby device permission, from the smartview app, after, smart view can't search the nearby material...

and for the nearby device function, don't give permissions...

-> it was realy strange because without wifi or mobile connexion or BT, smartview can find material ! -->  by hidden wifi direct protocol ? I would like to understand

thanks

@Toror: If you head to Settings > Connections > More connections settings > Nearby device scanning, then you can disable the feature from here by toggling the switch to the right so it greys out.
