Since I've updated my s10 plus I've been having trouble connecting to android auto. Is there anything that can help?

I have lost count of the number of usb cable that just give up and fail

I used to have an issue and found once the cable was connected sending myself a text from the phone made it connect. Why I didn't know, but worked 90% of the time.
