Chat features removed in latest version of Samsung messages?

Just read someone's post about chat features not working in Samsung messages. A moderator put this at the end of the reply. 

In regard to the chat features this has been removed on the latest versions of the Samsung Messages app. In order to use this you will need to use Google Messages.

Mine is still working at the moment. Not too happy about it if it's true. I prefer Samsung messages and use chat feature's.😔 Really hope it's false info. Anyone else heard they were doing away with chat in Samsung messages.

Hi, contact your carrier and see if that service is active on your tariff.

Awhile Past Date Of Your Post However I Think And Believe Right That It's True.  The Reason For This Is Due To The Fact My Husband Bought A Phone Yesterday (Apr 1) That Just Got Released Almost 8 Months Ago And His Phone Doesnt Have The Chat Option. And His Messages App Version Is 15.2.40.5.  Like You, I Prefer The Samsung Chat Also
