My phone certainly gets warmer if I fast charge, I believe there could be a small effect on the battery if done constantly over a long period. But Samsung fast charging is more conservative than some phone manufacturers. I tend not to fast charge unless am in a rush. I usually charge only to 80% unless I have a really busy or long day and don't charge overnight but first thing in the morning while getting ready
