When will android auto have the GPS speed when travelling.

All it has it the speed of the road. 

If I am using Google maps on my works apple phone it has this feature.

Should be under navigation settings although I find Waze is better for showing speed whilst driving. Another good option is TomTom Amigo that's free.

I have that option ticked. But still nothing.

Use Waze or TomTom Amigo they both show speed limit and current speed.
