Hi,
is it possible to upgrade Android on my Samsung Galaxy S7 from version 8.0.0 to 9 or higher?
reason is that some apps which i use have been upgraded and no longer run on version 8.0.0.
i don’t hope that my Galaxy S7 must be thrown in the pile of electronics scrap.
best regards

Hi @Volvos60 Unfortunately Android 8 was the last operating system Update for the Galaxy S7.
However there was an important update released in August 22 G93xFXXU8EVG3 to fix GPS issues, do you have this? However due to the incompatibility with some apps and the fact you will not receive the latest security updates, you may wish to consider purchasing a more modern device at some point.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
My Device- S21 Ultra 5G ( SM-998B/DS ) CSC= BTU , 12GB/256GB
One Ui 5.1,Android 13 .

Hi, thank You so much for Your information regarding my Galaxy S7.
Now it is perfectly clear to me, that my phone in fact is rather outdated, and that I should purchase a new model, before more functions in the phone slide out of reach for me.
Again thank You very much for Your help.
best regards
