Does anyone know if there a way to get the Samsung Music Player to play ALAC files. I used to have an iPhone and have moved some of my old music across from iTunes to my S21 Ultra by downloading it and moving the files across by PC. The files do show In the Music Player. I really like the Samsung Music App, and have created several playlists with the music native to my device, and want to continue to use it. Other third party players support ALAC files, and a Google search has shown me that Apple has made ALAC open source and royalty free. If the Samsung Music App does not support it, does anyone know if there are plans for it to in the future? I just like to have my music natively on my device.

I've never been able to get the Samsung Music app to play ALAC files. However, if you'd be up for converting them to FLAC, I know the Samsung Music app supports FLACs no problem - even the ultra hi-res ones! 😀

I would look for mx player or vlc media player as they support a lot of codec formats.
