A bug in save Contact results in removal of "," or ";" characters embedded in the phone number

Hello,

Here is how to get the bug.

1. Create a contact with phone number (something just for test) "123-456-7890;1,,2" (please do not include the quote marks.
2. Save the contact
3. Edit the same contact created above, (now you will see that the "," and ";" are missing from the phone number.
4. Save the contact
5. The ";" and "," are lost forever.

Why would you want a bug? This post doesn't make any sense.

It does make sense.

The number followed by press 1 for this and 2 for that saved within the speech marks.

Problem is, numbers aren't saved like that @milindck.

Why do you need punctuation in your phone numbers. Phone is telling you that you're being a doughnut. Stop being a sweet snack.

The "," and ";" stand for delay and pause respectively.

For example, if you call, let's say Tesla 1800-111-2222 The conversation goes let's say

• For sales press 1
• For customer service 2
• ..... 

Now let's say you press 2, the next step is as follows

• Please enter your phone number

So, you key in the phone number

• 5184625989

And so on.

Now you can automate the voice prompts as follows

18001112222;2;5184625989

So you see, you don't have to key in the 2 and the phone number. You can save it as a phone number and the phone will automatically key in the appropriate keys.
