Offline calendar option?

Hi there,

My Samsung Calendar doesn't synchronise correctly. I am almost at that point of deciding to get back to a pen and paper calendar. 🙃
I use only one device to save new events, in one specific account. Cuz you don't need a brain to figure out that using two calendar apps on 2 devices both synchronizing the same account can cause issues. 😉

But somehow for whatever reason this isn't always reliable enough either anymore.
So the only solution I could come up, with is having a offline calendar not synchronizing with any device or connected to the internet in anyway.

Does anyone have any suggestions for apps or software with this purpose?

I use a gmail account with the Samsung Calendar app. Synchronizes perfect! My wife also has my account on her phone for only the calendar app. Make sure that new appointments are saved on that account.

I also use a Gmail account with the Samsung calendar. But since I can't completely trust the synchronizing, for whatever reason, I was hoping to get several app ideas, from users that speak from their own experience.

But what happens?? I use this method for 9years now. First my Android phone and an Iphone. Now on 2 Android phones. Never had a problem with syncing. So please tell me exactly what problems you experience. When i add an appointment, 20sec later i can see it in the calendar app on my wife's phone. And visa versa.

I'm not sure if I explained my question clearly enough.
I know there is an option for backup your files, besides that there's also a option to synchronize.

With backup, I get to choose what I want to "save" somewhere exactly how it is that particular moment.

On the other hand with synchronizing (correct me if I'm wrong), it happens as often as you choose to. But if I'm using my calendar (for example) on my phone and at the same time this exact calendar is being used, or simply just opened, on my tablet too. Then my devices get confused. Sometimes it registrates this issues, but most of the time it doesn't ask and data get lost.
I hope my question is a bit clearer now.

Have a nice day!
