Washing machine locked

Hi, my washing machindoor won't open. It is a red key symbol on the screen,but I can't figure out how to remove it. How do I unlock this key symbol and open the door?

I normally reply to the mobile phone and tablet posts but try this...

To deactivate the lock, push and hold the "Spin" and "Soil Level" buttons for six seconds. The "Child Lock" light will go out. To reactive the child lock, press and hold the "Signal" and "Soil Level" buttons for three seconds.

it has to click the open close button a few times like mine it should open

would be grateful if u can post a picture of ur washing machine so we can see what type ur using and we can also see the buttons to help u.
