this fridge I bought 4 years ago, three times it has been turned off by itself and I lost nearly €300 on goods in the freezer. So I have made an appointment with Samsung for repair. I have to pay an amount for the repair. What about the warranty for 10 years? I am a bit shocked I have to pay for something that should not have broken in the first place. Samsung is an established label and I am not PLEASED with paying for it. I have bought Samsung for the quality but it breaks down after four years I am quite disappointed.
has anybody experienced similar failure of the fridge and what did you do about the warranty and the bill? Thanks in advance

My good-looking 4-door Samsung refrigerator's compressor completely died after 5 years 6 months. I was told the compressor was warrantied for 10 years; however, Samsung customer service says it's 5 years, as such, I'm not eligible for a full refund or replacement, but instead, a prorated refund of 40% of what I paid. It's been 6 weeks and I'm still awaiting this partial refund; in the meantime, I've been told to hang on to the broken refrigerator, which means I haven't been able to replace it and living without a refrigerator for more than 6 weeks - fyi, this happened before Thanksgiving and ruined our Thanksgiving and Christmas plans with family. I also have not been offered a reimbursement for the spoiled food. Please note that I did register my refrigerator immediately after purchasing and also had a 5 year extended service protection plan with PC Richards, which sadly started the day of purchase, instead of after the manufacturer's warranty, which is what makes the most sense. So beware, when buying extended warranties. I have several Samsung products; TVs, cell phone, all great; refrigerator, good looking but not a good investment. During the 5 1/2 years I had monthly issues with the icemaker, which was a huge inconvenience, as my husband and I use ice daily.
So that's my sad story. I hope Samsung steps up and does the right thing. We should not be paying a penny out of pocket. I also paid a private repair person out of pocket for my initial diagnosis. As I said, 6 weeks later and 2 visits from Samsung techs, I'm stuck with a 385 lb useless refrigerator, still awaiting a partial refund in order to buy another refrigerator. To add, I've been told that I have to hold on to the refrigerator until this arduous process is complete. So I'm also providing free storage for Samsung. SMH

I haven't registered my product but it's just now approaching the 3 year mark. My compressor seems to be tripping the breaker when kicking on, and the badge on the fridge does say 10 year warranty. Would I be able to receive the repair/service/replacement if I can prove my date of purchase is within the 10 year mark? If so what are the steps I should take to start this warranty process.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent handling of my warranty claim for my Samsung Refrigerator.
Despite having a valid warranty, I have been charged for a compressor repair. I have provided ample evidence, including multiple emails and a handwritten statement, to confirm that I have not received the alleged payment for the repair.
Your customer service representatives have been unhelpful and unresponsive to my concerns. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and has severely damaged my trust in Samsung as a brand.

I have you all beat. I have the Samsung refrigerator with the touch screen on it and have only had it for just over 1 year when the refrigerator stopped getting cold. The freezer still freezes. I did all the self trouble shooting they have you do and finally told me to call a repair person but when I do I'm told my warranty was up after just 1 year. Mind you I'm like 1 month over 1 year.
I used to love Samsung products always had there phones but after this I think I'm done with them.
