Samsung WW90J5456FW/EU clanking sound when drum turns

I've had this washing machine for a few years now and recently the noise it makes has changed. It sounds like there's a metal object hitting the drum. 

It happens when I turn the drum manually

I ran the calibration and feet are stable

It gets very noise as the machine spins up but at full speed it stops, I'm assuming that there's an object inside which stops moving at high spin speeds.

Any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?
