Samsung Ecobubble 9kg which is just coming up on 2 years old keeps stopping mid wash. No debris issues, no hose issues. Sometimes I get a full wash with no issues and then other times it stops and I have to turn the machine off and reset to Rinse & Spin to get it to finish. Any ideas what is wrong?

My eco bubble keeps stopping mid cycle. Bought in 2015 with I thought a 5 year warranty and 10 years on the motor. The Phillipinnes call centre keep telling me I only have 2 years warranty. £600 plus pounds for very shoddy customer service and a poor product. Which I had bought Bosch or Miele

I don’t think Samsung care about customer service or valve brand loyalty. When my £2000 plus American fridge door started to rust they refused it was an issue and after weeks of call eventually agreed this was a common problem and finally replaced the door .

Mine was similar price and age when it developed the well known fault. I got nowhere with Samsung but the retailer (well known electrical/PC shop) repaired it FOC. It took 3 visits-wasn't the motherboard but needed a new motor.
Don't give up!

Will thank you for your video. I was about to buy a new motherboard and your video saved me 200euros (or a new washing machine for 500 ~ 600euro). Your video encouraged me to open the motherboard according to your description.
I'm working at a company where we are designing and manufacturing circuit boards for heavy-duty components and tools for industrial use and I have good experience of both designing, soldering and inspection of PCB's. After I opened the board (on the backside) I found several components that had been loosened from their soldering and there were cracked soldering all over the board there they were “heavy” and big components (as you mentioned in your video). Most cracks were for the component under the heatsink. The heatsink is quit heavy and long and it is directly attached (screwed) to the component underneath, also the heatsink lays on the component, which in my opinion, it should be fastened/screwed directly to the board instead. I understand that the component which is attached to it will vibrate more violently (because of that heavy heatsink) and in the end the component will straining its “roots/legs” and that causes all cracks and misconnections. I wish it was possible to insert/post pictures to show how the cracks looks like.
There are several issues with design of this kind of boards:
Summary: short and consistent, the board is designed and mentioned to malfunctioning. You may say it is another conspiracy theory, but how would Samsung and other companies survive if their products last for ever?
And this is the problem that occurs in the Samsung echo bubble products and eventually all other product with this solution will stop working after a few years. This is the result of a poor designed and solution for this kind of motherboard.
This is evidence of poor quality of Samsung washing machines or/even other Samsung devices that will stop working after 2-3 years. I think Samsung must take responsibility and replace the motherboard in goodwill/warranty, because this is a quality problem during manufacturing which Samsung must admit.

Just had the engineer out to look at my Ecobubble and it’s the PCB.
He said that ALL PCBs on this model of machine will eventually fail, its just a matter of time, nice.

I had exactly the same on my machine.
3.5 years old - 2 weeks in washer-hell continuously re-starting a stopping washing machine. Nothing wrong with it - apart from what everyone else here are reporting.
The guy at Samsung (in Denmark) was pretty open in saying that yes - it's a known problem - and no - it won't make sense to get it fixed. EUR 150 just to get the repair man out - EUR 100 per hour - and parts on top of that. My GOD Samsung - don't you have any shame in life?
It's an expensive way to learn never to buy appliances from you again. But then again - that's how we learn. Zero responsibility assumed. Just leave it to the consumers. Went with a German brand instead this time - let's see if that can restore faith in consumer electronics companies. Appalling...

Hi Phil1972, Samsung,
Identical issue here. 2yr 6 months since purchase
Agreed it looks like a common problem.
Did you come to a resolution?
