Disappointed in Samsung & Washing Machine.

My washer/dryer broke 3 months out of warranty (27 months after purchase). After just one phone call and reading online, I knew Samsung support did not want to help but just charge me a lot of money for repairs and follow their script to get me to that point. I paid over £550 for this machine, so I am very disappointed. I replaced my old (5+ years) cheap and basic washer/dryer with this Samsung machine when we modernized our home. We had no issues ever with our old machine besides the usual maintainece cleaning of filters, so to have a £550+ machine die afer 2 years is just crazy, I wish we never changed it now. Every consumer rights group in the UK states washing machines should last 5 to 7 years minimum, so you don't expect this to happen.

Going through Samsung repair, they wanted £90 just to come and do the initial inspection. The machine was spitting out shards of metal into our clothes, error code C6, drum rattling and now not spinning. I spoke to a trusted independent engineer, and they said that at the very least the bearings have gone and it will cost a minimum of £250 to repair.

I'm very brand loyal and my family have always trusted Samsung as a brand. Growing up with my parents to now with my own family I have always had fridge freezers, audio systems, phones, earbuds, watches, etc., all Samsung. But I think this will be the end as I look for other brands, purely because of the poor customer service. If the issue was resolved in a prompt and moral way I would have been satisfied. I'm probably only going for Samsung phones from now on, all other tech I'll be looking at alternatives.. Ordering a new machine later, and LG seems the way to go, with a 5-year warranty as standard, not as some promo you have to sign up for.

 Very disappointed. Goodbye Samsung.
