Samsung odyssey g8 issues

Hi all, I’ve recently bought a g8 ultra wide monitor after not much research 

The screen looks fantastic but I ain’t had time to use it as my pc is currently being built so won’t get that until next week

I’ve been reading loads online about the issues and I want to know is some have been fixed yet?

is the sleep/wake issues fixed? 

also is it best to use the dp cable that come with the screen or a new one or a hdmi cable ?

I’m guessing when you say many of the sleep wake problems you mean they ain’t 100% fixed but much better ?

is there anything else I should be worried about ? Where can I find the latest versions ? 

also what can I do to prevent burn in? Has a oled tv for 4 years and never had an issue on Xbox. I’m going to hide task bar for one but anything else ? 

any settings I need to keep off or on to run max graphics and hz ?

I bought a G8 in Fall 2022 and noticed a few months back the P function (navigation) buttons weren't clicking. After seeing a YouTube video on taking the shell off I wanted to take a look since these expensive monitors have only a 1YR warranty . Issue turned out the rubber for the P function dial dissolved and eroded the P function buttons. I had to order a $70 part that I'm hoping will work. If this doesn't work I will never buy another Samsung monitor again.
