Hello everyone,
so I just set up my new monitor Odyssey G7 C32G74TQSR and I'm very pleased by its picture and performance so far.
Naturally I decided to test some different settings when suddenly the menu disappeared and I wasn't able to bring it back.
I tried to reconstruct what I did and after a while I found the problem to be reproducible:
-press the button (in the middle of the screen under the SAMSUNG Logo) to open the menu
-push/tilt up to "Menu" and press the button to confirm
-push/tilt down to "Support"
-push/tilt right to enter the Support submenu
-push/tilt down to "Information"
-push/tilt right -> Menu disappears
This causes the button to stop responding altogether, so turning off the device is not possible either. I had to unplug the power cord. After pluggin it back in and powering on everything will work normally again.
Another time I was playing a game and this happend to me while trying to check the settings/information. When I shut down the game to go back to desktop the picture was very distorted and the resolution was incorrect. So again I had to pull the plug.
Maybe someone can confirm this, maybe it's a known bug or am I missing something entirely? I know this seems just like a minor glitch, but not being able to enter the menu or turn off the monitor is really unpleasant to say the least.
Current Firmware is M-TG700CCAA-1011.0[9037]
and it's in use with my PC
via the included DisplayPort 2 cable.
Greetings from Germany

Hello,
I can confirm it is reproducible on firmware 1011 -> we can say it's a bug in the firmware.
Also if you don't know :
you might have scanlines on some specific image, like these:
b) http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php
c) https://www.testufo.com/inversion#pattern=uniformity2&ppf=5
d) https://i.imgur.com/noCE2tY.png
e) https://i.imgur.com/wkZjUpc.png
g) https://rog.asus.com/wallpapers
or also you migh have pixel inversion issue (pixels flickering) on some of these 11 test partern
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php#invpattern (use the arrow on top left to see the 11 test patterns)
"most" (I would say all but some say they have not) of g7 32" has scanlines/ pixel inversion issue.
People don't know of that because it only appear on specific image. I just want to warn you since you just set up your monitor recently.
