I found a workaround for playing 2560 x 1440 in the middle of the screen on games that usually does not support this.
I tried playing the game Rust on "Windowed" mode, and in doing so i wasted some of the space with the window bars on top and bottom of the screen. When trying the "Fullscreen" modes in the same game the rest of screen outside of the fullscreen 2560 x 1440 went black. This meant that using other apps like youtube and discord on the leftover space did not work properly, and you had to tab in and out from the apps to view them.
What i wanted, was to make the rest of the screen easily accessable, like if you have a second monitor next to your gaming-monitor.
SOLUTION:
The "Borderless Gaming" app from the steam store. This makes games played in "Windowed" mode fullscreen, without sacrificing the space. With this app you can now play the game AND have a stream/youtube video or discord up on the same screen, just like you can with multiple monitors. The app is easy enough to figure out, but it does take some time to get used to. Pair this app with windows powertoys's FanzyZones, and you can easily play and browse as you can on multiple monitors.
I am not associated with the team behind the app in any way. Just a happy costumer that wish to share something i have been trying to figure out for a while.

Sounds like a good compromise for the rare games that don't support native Fullscreen and may be beneficial for Halo Infinite (I can't seem to get G-Sync working when it's full screen but windowed mode is fine).
