Hello, I have recently updated my Fold 4 and ever since yesterday it's started coming up with the moisture alert when I plug my charger in. It has not been in contact with water and I have taken a hair diner to the port used rice deleted the USB cache, restarted the phone, etc. I don't have a wireless charger; the charger intermittently will sometimes work.

I do not have a backup device, which is my main way of communicating and working. I there any way to backtrack the update or validate system files

Phone details

One UI version : 6.1

Android 14

build number : UP1A.231005.007.F936BXXS7FXEA

Android patch level : 1 June 2024

Lemme know if you need any more information

Update

I've noticed if I turn the device off and put the charger in its 50/50 if it charges the device it eventually actually does so ill have to guess its software related

Hi @MyNameJack2001

Once the software update has been downloaded and then accepted there isn't a way within the phone's native settings to rollback I'm afraid.

Can you try this >

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

If this does not help then please send feedback via your Samsung Members App.

In the interim could you get to use a wireless charger to see if the phone charges that way. They are relatively cheap nowadays.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I just commented on this this on another post so here is my experience thus far hope it helps

I started having this exact problem (on S23U) a couple of weeks ago, tried everything but nothing fixed it. the problem did go away but would still come back like a ghost every once in a while and the device wouldn't charge.

the most reliable fix I found (for me) is to turn off the device and leave it off for some time (usually 10 to 30 minutes) and then turn it on and it would disappear. It's worth mentioning that this "fix" didn't work for me at the beginning when this "bug" happened and I have no idea why and I'm not planning to waste more of my time looking into Samsung's shitty devices' bugs as I learned that this isn't happening only with S23U devices but also older ones.

I just looked this up here and found your post so hopefully this might help.

There is also the power outage I had earlier today which when it happened my phone was charging and it did start doing the annoying moisture notification thing which was interesting. apparently there is something wrong happens when you unplug the USB cable (this was what caused the problem for me to appear in the first place, plugged the phone to charge and it didn't so I thought of unplugging and trying again and as soon as I unplugged it started showing me this moisture notification which never "really" went away.
