Z Flip 7 screen keeps locking even when set to 10 min unlock

Hoping someone has a solution to this issue.  Just got a Z Flip 7 and have spent several hours going thru the setup, apps & looking at Youtube vids, but still no solution.  When I am in public, not at one of my Trusted Places, every time I close the phone, it locks immediately.  I have gone into my Lock screen and AOD>Secure lock settings>Auto lock when screen turns off and verified that my timer is set to 10 minutes.  Seems to make no difference.  I do not want to have unlock it each time within that 10 min window (even though yes, I know I can use Face Recog and/or Fingerprint to quickly unlock).  The phone simply should not be locking until it has reached the 10 min mark.  Pls let me know if anyone has a solution.  Also - yes - I've already installed the 'Good Lock' app and am using the MultiStar plugin and have gone thru the Samsung Members diagnostics - no help.

I'm uncomfortable leaving phone unlocked for a minute let alone 10 minutes when out and about amongst public

Do you have "Lock instantly with side key" enabled? That would ignore the 10 minute timer if you locked the phone using the power button

You said it happens when you close your phone.

Does that mean when the screen turns itself off or when you press the power button, the 10 minutes work. It only locks instantly when you fold your device shut?

I might be reading top far into your wording but if that's right, it'll be helpful info

It locks when I either press the power button to turn off the screen (phone open), or fold it closed.  Same result.  It appears to be completely ignoring my 10 minute setting.

Check Good Lock module Lock Star if option for timeout Lock screen set to default or 10 minutes.

But, I guess that wouldn't work either,  because public place isn't  your trusted place, obviously is not, for security reasons and in that case phone will be locked immediately after you close it. I don't think you can bypass this security. Or you can set all public as your trusted place by on own risk.

You can also try to disable in settings > display > lock homescreen layout try disabling this.

If not try keep screen while viewing in advanced settings.

Disable trusted places ( not recommend)

Settings > Lock screen and aod > auto lock when screen turned off make sure is set to whatever time you want.

I checked Good Lock and had not yet even downloaded the LockStar plugin.  But after installing, it did not appear to offer any workable solutions either.
