Hi, my fone has suddenly got green /pink vertical lines down the side of my screen. Have shut down twice but is still there, any one else have this issue,

You'll need a Samsung Service Centre to have a look https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair. 

This issue is most probably a failure between the display and motherboard via the ribbon. 

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Firstly, if you go into the phone dialer app, dial *#0*#. You will then get three color test cards at the top. If the line disappears in these tests, then you may have an app or theme that is causing the screen issue.

If this doesn't work, go to settings, security and privacy, autoblocker, and disable it. Try the code and see if it works. This is very strange.

Connect your phone to a PC/laptop. 1. Turn off the device. 2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key. 3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. 4. An "Installing system update" message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. 5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "clear cache partition". 6. Press the Power key to select. 7. Press the Volume down key to highlight "Yes," then press the Power key to select. 8. When the process is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted.

I hope any of those suggestions are helpful. Sadly, this could also be due to a damaged ribbon cable within the phone and may need repair from Samsung.

When this happened to one of my Samsung phones it was covered. The service centre replaced the whole display @principessa999 

So as long as the phone does not have damage such as a cracked screen or heavily damaged casing you should be good.

Oh no, not damaged or dropped but has a phone case on it, thanks, when my Z flip 3 went weird it was fixed. 😊

Update on my Zflip 6, after ringing Samsung I was directed to EE store as approved repairs. Appointment day was told would prob need to be sent away to repair. Fine, i went shopping and approx 90 mins later had txt to say fone ready to collect ! Great service, repair under warranty. So excellent service. 👏🔥
