A couple of days ago I started getting a transparent window appearing on my home screen when I open my Zflip 6. It does not happen every single time I open the phone. It only happens occasionally. This window can be closed by clicking on it and pressing X. Anyone else experiencing this or maybe can shed some light as to what this is please and if there is a way of getting rid of it permanently?

Hi Ugino, welcome to the Community!

Did the phenomenon appear suddenly or after installing some particular app?

I suggest you act on the general settings of your smartphone, in this way:

  •  Settings
  •  General management
  •  Reset
  •  Reset settings
  •  Reset settings
  •  Reset

This operation will bring the phone to the default values, however it will not cause any loss of saved data or configurations of the installed apps: it will therefore only intervene on the system settings level such as ringtone, wallpaper, etc.

Furthermore, it could be due to an error in the One UI Home process, which is the one that manages the graphical interface. You can then try to reset it by following these steps:

  • Settings
  • Applications
  • Press the arrow to choose "Show system applications"
  • One UI Home
  • Storage
  • Clear data

I anticipate that the operation does not involve the loss of personal data, but restores the graphic interface to the default values: you will therefore have to reset wallpapers, themes, widgets, folders, icon position, fonts, grid and everything that is related to the graphic aspect of the phone.

Let me know.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for your reply. I had the phone for a month. I installed all the apps immediately when I got it and did not install anything else since. The transparent screen appeared suddenly. It did it a couple of times and now it seemed to have stopped.

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue. I've tracked it down to "swipe for pop-up view" under the multi window header in settings.

I can't recreate the "empty" window we are both receiving, but if you start the above option and then open an app, you can swipe down from the top corner and create the same type of window.

Not a solution but a step forward.

Regards

I welcome you to the Samsung Italia Community, Members_w94Y4EI. 😊

Are you also displaying the window indicated by the user?

Could you tell me which phone model you own?

To obtain this display, you need to perform these steps:

  • open the list of background apps
  • select an app icon (press once, without holding)
  • open in pop-up view

The empty window displayed by the user is probably due to a momentary bug.

Could you please tell me why you need to view the empty window?

Please let me know, I'm available. 🤝

Have a nice day
