Z flip 6 testing - my experience part 5

Hey guys! Hope you all are keeping well! And happy Tuesday (Only 3 days left until friday🫣🫣). 

This post about the Z flip 6 is going to be the big question everyone is asking: Would you consider buying this device, compared to the likes of the S24 Ultra?

I don't think I'd go for this device instead of an S series. After using S series devices for the likes of 5 years straight, it's definitely been useful having key features such as the Spen, higher end cameras, samsung DEX, more ram etc. The Z flip 6 lacks some of these, including:

DEX, which I've found myself using a few times with my s23 ultra, It's certainly a useful thing to have and I think it'd be easily integrated into the Z flip series. The camera is one thing that would definitely stop me from switching, 

Compared to the s23 ultra, the camera isn't as good as youd expect, I'd expect atleast 30x zoom instead of 10x. For this device being around 1000 pounds, you'd expect these features, but it's not there. 

While having the flip feature is useful, I can tell you now it's a feature you'll probably rarely use (I've used it more partly flipped for viewing media). 

So to answer the big question: No, I wouldn't buy this in future unless a few improvements are made with the camera etc. It's definitely a good phone, but you can get better for close to the price.

Amazing fallow up 👏 i agree with you on every single point. Been S series for long time now and when im on my girlfriends phone z flip 6 missing all of features like S pen etc it's no for me I bought it for my girlfriend (because lots of her friends have it and she wanted it) so she likes it a lot you know you can fold like a make up kit or something perfectly fits into pocket and does what it need. I generally think z flip is towards woman market ( it's just my opinion) think about it. Perfectly fold like small make up mirror in small purse folded can take high quality selfie when you socialise with your friends. Meanwhile z fold is more like a work horse can replace almost your laptop.. like S series (i love s series and used to be fan of s pen from note 10 since I'm artist) s series got the pen whitch is so useful for so many businesses, artists, and so on! I like the review spot on. 👏 👏

@UNKNOWNUSERNAME  interesting and  certainly high quaslity reviews, good to experience the Z Flip 6 and even if has turned out not to be your favourite device  can appreciate a different form factor and useful analysis for Members who are considering the device. Whilst I agree it is more popular with the female market will not be universally the case.

I think it's aimed at women aswell, which is certainly not a bad thing. I found myself using the cover screen with camera and torch as a little mirror aswell sometimes😅😅. A nice little device all in all.

Thank you for your kind words, Its certainly a different type of device but I can see women opting for it more, and I generally see Samsung advertising it for women (mostly because of the light up cases). Powerful but small device, just lacks the key features.

I concur with your assessment between choosing between this phone and a Samsung series phone. 

That said the array of Samsung phone's that are provided by Samsung are second to none. 

There's pretty much a phone for everyone's wants and needs and price point.

Totally agree. Phones in our house currently range from S, A and Z😅. Definitely a choice for whatever you may require.
