suggestion of switch keyboard button

As a Bin-lingo user, I need to switch keyboard frequently, but every time I have to click the button at the bottom left, which brings up the "Choose input method" panel. Currently, there are two problems:

  1. There is a "Show keyboard button" switch at the bottom of the panel, but its placement makes no sense. If a user accidentally turns it off, it becomes unnecessarily complicated to turn it back on. Besides, I can't imagine anyone needing to turn off the keyboard button in the first place.

So, please remove this switch. I know the original Android UI doesn’t have this button either.

  2. I also hope users can customize the button’s functionality. For example, a single click could switch to the next keyboard automatically, while a long press could open the "Switch keyboard panel." This would work similarly to iOS, where one click to switch to the next keyboard is very useful for typing in multiple languages (e.g., English and another language) at the same time.

I suggest placing this "quick switch" toggle under Settings > General management > Keyboard list and default, just below the "Keyboard button on the navigation bar" option.

Bi-lingual here too,

I switch keyboard input language by swiping on the space bar. My understanding is that the  "Show keyboard button" is to switch the keyboard app, like from Samsung keyboard, to Gboard to SwiftKey. has nothing to do with language of input. Am i wrong?

I'm using samsung keyboard to typing English,  and third party keyboard for typing Cantonese

So switch keyboard is same as switch language for me

I take it that the Samsung keyboard doesn't support properly Cantonese, fair enough.

You can send feedback for both, the location of the Show keyboard button" and the fact that the Cantonese language isn't properly supported by Samsung keyboard at the moment.

You can do that through Samsung Members App, at the bottom tap on the button "Support" then choose "Send feed back"

Please be very clear in your description and support it with screen shots if possible 👍
