Samsung Keyboard offers to save password in Samsung Wallet, not my preferred password manager

On my ZFold6, the Samsung Keyboard offers to save a password I use for an app in Samsung Wallet, and not my preferred password manager.

This is very annoying. I use Nordpass, it is set as my preferred password manager, yet the keyboard frequently offers to save passwords in Samsung Wallet even though I don't use, and I don't want to use. I also see Google listed. I turned off Google in the preferred settings but there is no way to turn off Samsung Pass. What's doubly annoying is that it doesn't offer Nordpass, even though it is my preferred one, and is set as such.

Here's an example. This shows Google before I turned it off.

It now only shows Samsung Pass, but I don't see Nordpass.

I've seen others post about this and it they've said they just chose their preferred one and it works. But not for me. Could it be an issue with Nordpass?

Have you toggled Samsung pass off in your Samsung cloud settings?

There was no toggle option for Samsung Pass specifically in the Samsung cloud settings.

I delved a little deeper. When looking at settings for Samsung Pass, it forces you to enable it to see the settings. So I enabled it, and allowed it to update. Then I went into Samsung Pass settings and found an option to 'Autofill with Samsung Keyboard'. I toggled it off.

I then tried logging in to my app....

... and there it is again. It seems impossible to prevent Samsung Pass getting in the way. No way to remove it, no way to disable it. It worsens the experience of having any other Password Manager installed.

Samsung please sort this out.

Have you toggled this off? If you don't it will keep syncing and reappear 1742655769151.jpg

It has never appeared in that list, so can't be toggled off.

I used ADB to uninstall the com.samsung.android.samsungpass package. It removed successfully.

However it came back at some point.

Now when I attempt to remove the package I get "Failure [DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR]"

It's looking more like I'll have to wait until One UI 7. I don't know what else I could do.

Well that's why you are having the problem now, its not visible because you removed it in a way you shouldn't have.

No. The package returned.

The error is that adb can't remove it again. Perhaps after a reboot it might work but there's little point deleting it again because it just comes back anyway .

Think I'll just have to put up with it. 1742677786759.jpg

My phone updated to ONE UI7 this morning.

I no longer get the Samsung Pass prompts.

There's now a toggle to disable Samsung Pass. Prior to the upgrade Samsung Pass was listed but there was no toggle. It's now all working correctly.
