Prevent apps from being automatically disabled

Does anyone know how to disable auto disable on a z fold 3?

Im getting annoyed by trying to open an app I haven't used for a while then finding it's not only been disabled but I also have to wait while it updates.

The whole thing is frustrating!

Hi,

The unused apps are put to sleep so that they don't continue to run in the background and consume battery.

You can stop apps from sleep in Settings --> Battery and device care --> Battery --> Background usage limits --> Putunused apps to sleep.

If you want only certain apps to never to sleep, you can add them to Never sleeping apps.

This answer is not correct.  You can turn off this setting that the phone will STILL automatically disable unused apps.  I don't know whether that's because this setting is buggy or, alternatively, because it's not the setting that actually control the disabling of unused apps.  But either way, this flawed answer to this question needs to be debunked!

I have a S10e with Android v12.   Some apps that are set never to sleep still get disabled.

I get apps disabled all the time. Tottaly frustrated with this. I have tried many settings but can't seem to stop them being disabled........

Need an answer to fix this 😞
