Please can anybody advise idlf I do the above without opening my Z Flip-phone.......its such a faff to the process!

Personally I use Google Wallet which is basically a Tap to Pay option.

I prefer this over Samsung Wallet as I find Google Wallet a more seamless experience.

Trying to understand what you're asking. You can use Google wallet or samsung pay for phone contactless. Your phone must be unlocked to make a payment. The nfc coil in your phone needs to be close to the card machine (so look up where your coil is to get consistent payments)
