No Reading Pane on Samsung Mail on Z Fold 7 One UI8

I was able to see the mail list and the reading pane in portrait orientation on my Z Fold 6 using Samsung Mail, however on the Z Fold 7, there is no option for a reading pane in portrait mode. Seems to only work when you rotate the phone to horizontal mode. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it? Incredibly frustrating to have to rotate the phone to have this view.

Just set up my Fold 7. Same issue here. Hope they fix it as this is extremely handy.

Thanks for confirming. I thought it was just me. Really hope this is fixed soon, it's such a shame to lose this especially now that the screen is wider.

I am having the same issue and agree that it is annoying.  There is the toggle for split screen in landscape mode, but clearly they need one for portrait mode.  Having the reading pane is crucial.
