Returning my Fold 7 - Notification Grouping Issue

I am a current S23 Ultra user, long time Samsung user, and I just got this beautiful $2000 Galaxy Fold 7, I've been using phones since they were bricks, it's quite a miracle to have a phone this good that can fold in half. 

HOWEVER, I am returning my Fold 7 over the fact that notifications are now grouped and minimized by default in the notification panel. You need to swipe down on each notification group to see what it says. For messaging apps like Whatsapp, it is total nightmare. Similarly, email notifications are grouped too, rendering the notification panel useless, you're supposed to get a glance of all your notifications and decide what's important to open first, now I see nothing and I have to swipe each one! I am missing many important messages and emails because of this new "feature" 

Android is about choice, just give me the option to group or not group my notifications. IT'S NOT THAT HARD. YOUR PHONE FOLDS IN HALF. PLEASE. 

Sorry for my rant. These updates are just ruining my experience.

Pull down twice from top the tap the pencil icon, then tap panel settings and you can change the swipe down notifications to your liking.

Thanks rogersdave77, you're talking about Quick Settings, you are right about that one. 

I am talking about notifications, such as when you get 3 emails/messages, you get one thin notification with a (3) on the end, and you have to click that notification to see all three email/message notification.

It used to be that when you swipe down you see all 3 message notifications straight away, with a clear glance at what each message says.

This will not be unique to the phone.
This is the new Android software
Im sure you have gone into settings and notifications.
But have you got notification pop up style set to detailed
Also the hide content while locked, I have mine set to show always

Sorry to break the news, but at some point your S23 (soon) will get the changes introduced in UI 7. Said features you're talking about aren't device-specific and are a change to Android.

You can use Good Lock's modul Notistar. Does not group notifications

Yep it's a feature of one ui 7 and like me you must not of upgraded your s23 ultra to the new ui as it would do same thing otherwise?

Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be ready for OneUI 8 as yet. I'm waiting for an update so I can change the notifications.

I think this is One ui 8 update.. even your S23 ultra will get this update unless you decide not to update.. we will have to get used to it.. Not every Android phone has this but Samsung decided to follow Apple's way and there we are
