How to remove VIPs from Email

I'm trying to mark an email address as VIP, however I get an error message saying that a maximum of 25 VIPs is allowed. If I view my VIP mail folder there are only the latest emails shown from 6 email addresses.

So, I don't want to remove any of those from VIPs but do not know who the old VIPs are, and cannot find where to edit the list of VIPs. Googling has turned up nothing. 

Anyone have any ideas please?

First, head to VIPs.
Second, tap a vip and click one of their emails.
Third, tap the VIP name, then tap "Remove from VIPs"
And your done!

Do you know how to view older emails from VIPs...?

Might depend on what provider who you are using for your email with. I'm with Virgin Media and I have many options of what I can setup and delete folders 📂 etc

This is my own domain hosted by ionos, and there's folder management as I use imap mail. But the concept of VIPs is in the Email app - it's not a mail provider function

I am having the same issue. I can't find the list of vips I have so far. I have searched everywhere.

Hi, I have a solution.

Go to the Email App.

Open the VIPs folder .

If you do not have any new VIPs email, this list will be blank.

Above the list however, there are bubbles with the names of your VIPs across the top.

This list is scrollable left and right.

Press and hold the bubble of the VIP that you would like to remove.

After pressing and holding, all the bubbles are now "editable" .

Press the small white circle icon with the red hyphen in the middle,  located on the top right corner  of a bubble to remove the VIP.

You can remove as many as you need by scrolling over through your list.
