Just wondered if anyone else having the same as you fully charged my Galaxy phone last night 1-hour 30 minutes on screen time battery now at the 31%... Has made moving from the fold 2 to the new fold 3 really disappointing... I also have the high refresh screen rate turned off... And it is so slow to charge not like the fold 2... Any one else noticed the same

The phone's battery will Optomise as its new and will learn your usage habits.

The following video from a YouTube Creator says he managed to improve his battery life by 75% by turning Off Improved Accuracy.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

How did you transfer your personal information from your Fold² to the Fold³

Have you considered the following generic troubleshooting.

As mentioned already, the phone battery software will learn your usage and adjust to suit.
It does sound like you have one or more apps running in the background causing the processor to heat up.
Did you use smart switch to change over settings and apps etc?

When you go into battery and device care in settings.
Does it show what apps are using the battery?

You may have to reset the phone and download your apps from the playstore rather than transfer them from the old phone.
One or more may have got corrupted in the process

I certainly hope so I will be watching as the 30 window closes. The battery is almost a deal breaker at this time.  I'm having some regrets. Traded a 10e in for it and that phones battery was much more impressive. I don't recall a break in time being involed.

@Peggsue

As the battery optimises things should hopefully improve.

How long have you been using your Fold³ may I ask ?

One battery saving tip is to turn Off the accuracy setting as described in the YouTube video I included further up the thread ?

In regards to return periods I note you mentioned “ 30 day window

Just to mentionoin the UK the returns window is 28 days when a phone is purchased from Samsung.

Have you tried any other battery saving tips  ?

Theres an App from XDA developers which force your phone to lock at 96 hz instead of 120 hz i found this to be helpfull. Although you do loose the Adaptive refresh rate so i just use bixby routines to turn 60hz when im on youtube or watching anime for long periods of time
