Hi all

My screen just went out. I was told that if this happens, Samsung will assume you dropped or damaged the phone. Samsung is also having the carriers tell their customers that they must file an insurance claim to replace the phone. Has anyone successfully corrected this issue?

Looks like this s very common issue and samsung don't care too much about their customers. Same issue and can't use the front screen.

Ony fix I found was, hard reset the phone (hold vol down and power). Open the phone and turn on and then everything worked again. Issue comes back after every update though.

I brought mine to T Mobile and one of the customer service persons said it was the covers...He took off the back cover of the hard case I had on it and it began to work norm so it's the cases we have....My phone is 3 years old and never had the issues so it made me think it's a program thing? Now I use it without a case which is a pain cause it is made to smooth.
