Could you go to Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Now bar > toggle the switch next to "Media player" to On?
If that does not sort it out, another option would be to give our Technical Support colleagues a call, as they have a Remote Service that they can use to remotely access your phone (with your permission, of course) and check your settings to see if they can get to the bottom of this issue.
