Fold 4, no signal

Hi all,

Have had a Fold 4 on EE for around 18m, always been a decent signal.

A month or so ago, the signal weakened... I took a domestic flight and when I landed, flight mode off .... no signal in a known good area.  Tried restarting etc., no good.  Wi-fi was fine for calls etc.

Tried searching for network manually, only one network Three came up occasionally then nothing.  Tried restarting with and without sim, reset, clear cache.... nothing worked.  Sim is fine, worked in another phone and other sim in, no good.

So, I reset it once again, left it plugged in charging (it had maybe 40% charge) and switched off  for a few hours and it worked on restart.

Been fine until today, randomly on a drive, at my destination it had stopped.

Before I reset / return if required, any other ideas maybe?

Thanks

EDIT:-

Tried clearing cache
Tried switching to flight mode on / off several times
Tried resetting all connection settings
Soft reset
Starting in "safe mode" I still have no signal.  Not on EE, and no other networks found.
Full reset done, still the same so sending back to Sammy.

It turns out that unbeknown to me, EE had mistakenly BLOCKED my IMEI number.  They should have blocked a different phone on my account.

Turns out, I usually use the phone at home and was working fine on Wi-Fi calling at home, airport etc.

Hi @Beershark

If you haven't already try Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connection.

If that does not work try putting a different network sim card in the phone i.e a Payg one to see if signal is OK just as a troubleshooting step.

If it's fine then re insert your own Network Sim Card snd see what happens.

A diagnostic can be ran via your Battery and Device Care Section.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone too.

Samsung Support Links.....

How-to-check-signal-strength.

Samsung phone has poor signal and cannot use data or make calls.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

I have fold 4, in which the signals keep getting lost off & on, and I have already tried multiple SIMs of different networks. It is happening with all of them. I have tried all of those SIMs with my Fold 3, and they are working fine. Can anyone please suggest what this is? And how do you fix this issue?

Probably a hardware or firmware fault.... Probably needs to go back to Samsung.

They will ask you to do a hard reset first, so I would try that just in case....

This happened exactly with my zfold 4 and even samsung repair center cannot do something about it. Waste of money

This happened to me after I updated my z fold 4. Lost the network signal and wi-fi as well.

Went to Samsung Service Center. Said it needs LCD replacement. Not recommending another z fold series. Just 14 months and now its a useless phone. It would had been better if Samsung replaces the phone. Tsk2x.
