I have the same issue. After 17 months my fold4 will not open. It's well taken care of. Samsung states that the hinge cam be open and closed more than 200,000 times with no issues, but I'm calling BS on this. I would have had to open my phone more than 500+ times a day to hit that number and I know I haven't. Samsung lied and knew it would fail shortly after the 1 year warranty. When I called and talk with Samsung thier recommendation was to trade it in and go with the S series phone. They need to do what's right and fix the phones.

Would you mind sharing the repair cost for that? Mine just started not opening all the way this evening after 15 months.

I had the same issue also after 14 months of use. This was repaired under warranty.
I have now just experienced the same issue, 8 months after it was repaired.
Samsung have suggested sending it for repair again, but am concerned it will reoccur again and maybe sooner this time. I'll be speaking to the samsung tech at their London repair center to understand the root cause and whether this is a fault with the phones design.

Hola, yo tengo el mismo problema en mi samsung fod 4, lo compre cuando salio en pre orden y lo e usado por casi 2 anos, hasta que despues de hacer el update aparecio un linea negra en el medio de la pantalla interna. llame a samsung de USA y no me han solucion por el defecto que tienen estos telefonos en la pantalla, me han hecho pagar cerca a $400 por el reemplazo de la pantalla, soy cliente de samsung desde el s1, no hay garantia por una parte defectuosa 😒
Me cambiare a oneplus o al pixel

Hello, I have the same problem on my samsung fod 4, I bought it when it came out in pre order and I used it for almost 2 years, until after doing the update appeared a black line in the middle of the internal screen. call samsung USA and I have no solution for the defect that have these phones on the screen, they have made me pay about $ 400 for the replacement of the screen, I am a customer of samsung since the S1, there is no warranty for a defective part. 😒
I will switch to oneplus or pixel.
