Hi all,
Just wanted to run this past the collective and get any thoughts.
I've seen the posts around screen issues of various types with the Flip4. My partner has one and so far it's had two new screens. The first time it was accidentally dropped and it damaged the case (and they changed the screen at the same time) and the second time the touch on the bottom half of the screen (handy when having to put in your pin number) stopped working about 4 months later. Thankfully the second time it was replaced free of charge as was still warrantied from the first replacement.
Now... here's the thing, yesterday the very top portion of the bottom half of the screen has started playing up with regards to touch, so again 1, 2 and 3 are not responsive when having to put in a pin number. I'm disappointed that it's playing up YET AGAIN and wondered what other's experiences were and whether they got replacement devices from Samsung or what had happened. It's been in a case the whole time never dropped (well since the accidental one and even then the screen wasn't damaged just the hinge was dented).
Wondering where to go next as the missus is sort of saying she doesn't want it any more

The flip phones are junk. I bought my son a flip 4 for his birthday because he insisted on the novelty. I told him so many times, it's just a gimmick, it'll only create problems. Get an Apple because they're reliable, they don't have stupid bendy screens, they have proper customer service, and they'll replace it if it does break. But no, he want's a Z flip. 3 months later it's a brick. And he's taken such good care of it - never dropped, never wet, it was his pride and joy. Sometimes I hate being right. Being a Samsung there's no warrantee, no replacement, no service. I brought it while traveling too, so that's another excuse to not replace it - as if they needed one. If it was an Apple, I could take it back to any Apple store, anywhere in the world, and get it replaced. I wouldn't even need a receipt because they have the phone. But Samsung? Good luck. Why does anyone buy these sketchy concept phones packed with known faults from a company that doesn't stand behind it's products?

These things are concept phones at best. People get sucked in and buy them for the novelty. The hinge mechanism is a known fault, and Samsung don't care. If it was Apple, they'd replace them, recall them, make sure it didn't happen again. Samsung don't give a *****.
