Dex not working properly on ZFold4

My zFold 4 is not outputting DeX to my monitor correctly... the icons are stretched on the desktop view, apps and text don't look quite 'right' (google looks as if its running on my outer phone screen) and videos in YouTube are formatted as if playing square on the unfolded screen (with black bars down the sides).

I never had this issue with my Note10+... when I change resolution from the highest recommended to the lower options, it literally cuts things down to a square and not the 16:9 it states.

I've gone to support, who suggested reset my settings, I've also updated my device. Tried different cables. It works on the TV downstairs fine but can't work out why the fold hates my monitor!

Can anyone help? I'd rather not use additional apps if at all possible as this really should just *work* based on my Note experience.

What monitor and USB C cable are you using.

It is worth checking the Dex settings on your phone for display settings also.

Hi Obsydian;

Using a 4k compatible Anker hub with HDMI cable plugged in. The monitor is this one:

It's the same setup I used with my Note. I've also used a Choetech 4k 60hz USB C to HDMI lead, both led to the same result.

Hi Simon, i have never used HDMI as USB C give full UHD @ 60Hz and charges.

Did you check your Dex settings, forgot to say do so when connected to the monitor

From my S8 Ultra not docked to my monitor a the moment but in Dex mode, worth checking the settings, i recall checking the HDMI option as for some odd reason it was the only way to make the USB C input properly fill the monitor screen.
