Hello,

Does anyone have details for a complaint about the Z4 flip? Mine randomly died after 5 months and was quoted £420 to have it fixed...erm no?! Surely a phone should be able to be used for longer than 5 months? I feel completely ripped off by EE and Samsung.

Anyone else had this? My legal rep now wants an address or email to contact Samsung directly so if anyone has contact details I would be very grateful.

Hey there

I'm sensing you bought this device through EE?

If this is the case, you'll need to go through EE as that is who you have the purchase contract with.

(if this is the case, I would also ditch your so called legal rep for not knowing this).

Your device (if bought new) has a 2 year warranty through EE so unless the device was damaged by the user (in which case you'll have to pay) then the warranty should cover you.

Yep, tried that. They said any issues come down to me contacting Samsung.

That is incorrect so go back to EE.

The Consumer Directive Act 2015 is very clear about this.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Would be interested to know your legal reps view on the numerous brush issues that are appearing on the zFold and zFlip series.

Whilst the consumer rights act needs to be picked up with EE, it seems from media reports that this issue is a design floor with the brushes in the hinge causing the issues (at least on the fold and assume the flip is the same).

If so, points to a design floor and surely that makes Samsung culpable for the costs?
