Bluetooth AAC Codec on OneUI 5.x

Has anyone noticed that the Bluetooth AAC Codec since OneUI 5 is absolutely terrible. I can't recall it being that bad on OneUI 4 but ever since OneUI 5, it seems to be full of artefacts.

I've tested this with different Bluetooth devices that support AAC and they all sound terrible unless you revert back to SBC. Comparing the AAC Codec on my Fold to that on my Pixel 4 is somewhat akin to comparing cassette to CD.

It would be fine if there would be a way of using SBC all the time but it always defaults to AAC and I can't find a Bixby routine that will automate this either.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else is having the same experience.

You are lucky. I always have poor audio quality on the Z Fold 5 on day one. Moreover, I am experiencing bluetooth connectivity issue. I always have to hang up, then call again to be able to use the Buds 2 Pro again without any dropped audio quality. I am surprised that Samsung has not resolved this issue. I think the Z Fold 3 had this issue as well.

The AAC codec via bluetooth is of very poor quality. As my true wireless supports the AAC codec, by default it always uses it and manually you have to change it, through the developer options to SBC.

As far as I can see, this problem has been going on since previous versions and they haven't fixed it yet. too bad!

NOTE: I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 with the latest version with One UI 6.1, Android 14.using AAC codecusing AAC codec

LMAO... QAAC used in Apple and written by Apple is superiour to garbage used in Android or Linux for that matter (and on Linux you have to compile libfdk-aac yourself like a mo****). So... It is what it is
