S9 security patches

Hi,

Does anyone know for how long Galaxy S9 will receive security patches?

Is it 3 or 4 yrs from the date it was launched?

4 years, going by previous phones such as the s8, s7 or a5 2017. The S9 will continue getting patches until early 2022

my first post not sure what I am doing but just to say I love my S9 I always go back to it but it has started getting warm I think I might have some settings wrong any ideas please

Probably apps running in the background.
Go to Settings --> Device Care --> click on Optimize Now button.
Hopefully it will help...
