Need to have wifi calling on at home due to poor network signal, but am getting fed up of the constant wifi calling notification. Surely you should be able to turn this off, but the option is frustratingly greyed out. Anyone had any success resolving this? Been through multiple different tasks with support, but no luck.

What is the exact notification you're seeing? I've personally never seen wifi calling show a notification so a little more info might help

It's a notification to say wifi calling is active, we have a mesh wifi system so comes up as you move throughout the house. Also comes up on my watch as well as phone so very annoying.

In the wifi calling setting, do you have it set to wifi preferred? If not, try that see if anything changes

It might be something your cell carrier is doing. Normally the setting is there, unless your cell provider told your phone to move or hide it. And for the notification, I'm guessing your cell provider uses some special version of wifi calling, which uses IMS service to activate. Thats causing notifications.

For me, IMS service isn't used and the kinda built in wifi calling software is used. So it missing isn't an issue, just different.

So, cell carrier uses non standard wifi calling. Uses IMS service to make your phone compatible with it. IMS service makes annoying notification.

Though good news, I did figure out how to disable the notification. Bad news, it requires debug mode and using a computer to enter commands into the phone...
