Having the S25u already, then i would tend to agree about its place in the portfolio. It is not one that I have considered as I have already the more powerful option.
However I think this design does have its fans, and most techies that have actually seen and held it during the 'hands on' events, are suitably impressed. Whether impressed enough to part with more than £1000 is another story.
My own personal thoughts are to believe this is a bit of a demo phone release to show what can actually be achieved in size terms. It is also a response to Apple plans to release an Iphone Air in August.
The 'thinness specs competition' is a sign of things to come. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see all of next years phones being thinner and following this design.
For Samsung, first the extra thin fold special edition in Asia only. Following onwards then the S25 edge thin version. The next rumours for July are for the fold 7 hardware being some ~4mm thick.
My hunch could be completely wrong, but this is the way of the things to come from all the manufacturers, i believe.
