As for the flashlight, I personally use the double press power button to turn on/off. This is usable with the screen on or off.

I appreciate that I'm not the only one who likes to tap instead of swipe.
In case you need guidance. I was able to find that there is an option to "tap" but it only function for alarms, alerts and incoming calls. This can be found within Settings>Accessibility>Interaction and Dexterity> Tap on the "Assistant Menu" wording. Here you will find "Replace swipe with single tap".
As for the lock screen shortcuts, Good Lock (available in the Samsung App Store) is updating their app to fully function with S25, and this customization app should allow you to set up Lock Screen shortcuts to Tap instead of swipe.
