This is moderately irriating, I keep pressing the Close All button to close all apps by mistake and have to start over. Is there any way to move the button to the top?

No, you cannot move the "Close All" button to the top of the screen on a Samsung phone; its position is fixed by the operating system. However, you can prevent individual apps from being closed by using the "Keep open" option after tapping the app's icon in the recent apps view, and if you want to close one app at a time, you can swipe up on that specific app to close it instead of hitting the "Close All" button.

You can change it's position. I have it on the right hand side instead of the left.

@Moiramon: The 'Close all' button seems to be assigned to the bottom middle of the display in the Recent apps screen, and this is true of both Portrait and Landscape mode. Have you customised the setup using a Goodlock module?
