Spots appearing after rubbing with a finger

Hello this morning I noticed that my display has a strange stain after rubbing it with my finger. I have looked through several forums but I am still not sure what it could be, it is most likely that the anti-reflective coating has been damaged?

It looks like you have a protective cover on your phone.  My wife had a similar issue with her phone.  The old screen cover was peeled off and a new one installed.  In her case it was a thin, clear, sheet of plastic she had forgotten she had once had installed.

I wish it was a cover but I discovered it after taking off the cover when I was preparing the phone for a new one

The oleophobic coating on the display can wear off over time. While it's not a permanent feature, it's designed to help reduce fingerprints and smudges, and it can become less effective with regular use. Seems it may well have worn off in that area. Although I have never had any issues with my devices but do use screen protectors. Apparently someone's screen protector removed some coating while removing the protector so I read on a post

Phone its 1month old and i put foil screen protector on it but my little one pell it a bit while watching so i decide to replace it with new one and then i saw that😮

You screen protector may have caused the issue, if you found it after you removed it

I only use Samsung screen protectors and never had issues

The reason I thought you had a cover already on your screen was this, I enlarged your photo and saw what looked like an edge of that screen cover near the top edge of your screen.
