Screen protector..yes or no?

Good afternoon you excitable S25Ultra/+ and mini me users, great posts of excitement upto and including delivery of phones, felt like a proper Samsung family.....weird or what!!!

Anyway, never used a screen protector before, and had samsung since s3 came out, but Ultra, just seems different, maybe it's the price, so should I invest in a protector, which ones ( using a Spigen rugged case at the moment...other brands are available!! )

Give me your thoughts/experiences

I have mixed feeling about screen protectors.  I'm careful with my phones and always carry them in my holster.  I've only dropped my phones a handful of times and the bumper case always did its job.

I really only had one scratch that you could feel with your fingernail but couldn't see it when the screen was on.

I have used a screen protector on my S24 Ultra but removed it after a while as it wasn't necessary.  I also could feel the edge of the protector and I didn't like that.

I grew up knowing people who would have their sofas covered in plastic and now I see cars that are wrapped in plastic.  I'm going without a screen protector, and I plan on being careful.  If I do manage to scratch the screen, it's not the end of the world.

No protectors required in my opinion the screens are so well protected already but it's a choice thing

I ordered the screen protectors from Samsung for my S25 Ultra. It's on and isn't noticable. I've not used them on the S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra but I did with my S24 Ultra. I will say the new glass they use is incredible. The case I ordered from them is lovely but so slippery. My phone fell face first straight on to my ceramic sink from a shelf and not even a scratch or a crack.

If you use a case with either a flip cover or/in addition with a raised lip around the display, I would say it's not necessary. The s25u have gorilla glas armor 2 that's even more durable than previous versions. I have a s7 edge with a s-view cover and without a screen protector. It looks like new even after 9 years. 

But thing's get a little more complicated when it comes to the high price for the s25 ultra. I will keep it for at least 7 years and will keep it as pristine as possible, without worrying about scratching with normal use.

So will go with a dux flipcover case with magsafe built in kickstand, a high quality tempered glass screen protector and lens protractor. Will have it installed before doing anything else with the phone. That way I don't have to reregister my fingerprint.

Yes that is true. It's a reason why even the best quality tempered glass screen protector is getting scratched. It's no gorilla glas armor. But as a peace of mind the protector serves it's justice. Same goes for the case and lens protractor. I mean why not invest to protection the premium, best of the best, king of the smartphone.

I got my s25 ultra and I got a screen protector for it cause the phones super expensive and I would hate to see it get scratched. I highly suggest a screen protector
