So, after having my S25 Ultra for eight weeks, things haven't been good. I've had extreme battery drain, and nothing would fix it. A Samsung technician came out, did a factory reset, then reinstalled Android, and said it would be fine now.

So, before that, I backed up 250 GB of data to the Samsung Cloud.

I'm now restoring it, and it's taking ages! It's so slow; it's unreal. It's saying it's going to take 309 hours. It's been like this all day. I've tried resetting and redoing the restore, same thing.

WhatsApp took 30 mins to restore 75gb..

I have super fast 1gb upload and download which always works great to So can't be my Internet as other stuff works fine

Anyone know how to fix this? Its honestly pathetic paid so much for this phone to what a joke. I need my data back asap

Cloud backups are free, samsung isn't going to give you gigabit download speeds for it. 250gb is an absolute ton for them to host for free.

With the download part explained, smart switch is also very intensive on your phone. So to prevent overheating for hours on end, it'll probably slow things down a little bit.

If you want a fast restore, use a pc and create a local smart switch backup every now and again
