S25 ULTRA OVERHEATING ISSUE

Hi everyone, I recently purchased the S25 Ultra, and I've been facing a frustrating issue. The phone overheats randomly, even during light tasks like watching YouTube videos. As a result, I lose about 10-15% of my battery in just 10 minutes. The area near the camera gets hot, and the entire screen heats up as well. Has anyone else encountered this problem? It feels like every Samsung phone I get ends up having some kind of issue or poor battery life. I’m seriously considering boycotting Samsung again, like I did before, and switching to OnePlus long-term.

Just took a 600mb update, and could feel the heat though the samsung wallet case next to the camera lenses after the reboot. Took it out and could cook an egg on the titanium.

Quick question, do you use smartswitch to setup your new Samsung phone from your old phone?

Always, and then I let Google do the rest.

Go delete this app installed by Google called Android System SafetyCore. It solved my overheating and battery draining issue:

Open Settings: Go to your device's Settings app

Access Apps: Tap on 'Apps' or 'Apps & Notifications'

Show System Apps: Select 'See all apps' and then tap on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner to choose 'Show system apps'

Locate SafetyCore: Scroll through the list or search for 'SafetyCore' to find the app

Uninstall or Disable: Tap on Android System SafetyCore, then select 'Uninstall' if available. If the uninstall option is grayed out, you may only be able to disable it

If you are worried about uninstalling this, there is an article on this that should reassure you:

I have the same issue. Lost 30% of battery in less than an hour with the screen off and the phone in my pocket. This happened on the Samsung wireless charger the other night as well and woke up to my phone feeling warm and down to 35% charge after being on the charger all night. Will say these are the only two times I've noticed it and it started happening after the most recent update.

Okay so I recommended this after reading it elsewhere but it did not resolve my issues.

I too face the same issue. I pre-orded my phone and received it on 4th of Feb.

It was all fine till Tuesday this week. From yesterday, it just remains hot even while sitting idle. The battery doesn't last even a day. Called the help center and the guy asked me to reset the phone!!

This is unacceptable for a flagship device.

Dear Samsung, please do not release products before they are fully tested. Don't fix bugs at the expense of your customers.

I've escalated to the country head of service. No response even after a few hours. Fingers crossed.

Did you have the replacement because your original device was out for service?  If so, was the issue repaired?  I'm debating whether to completely cancel the contract for the device or to send it for repair.....

No, I had it replaced and got a brand-new S25 Ultra directly from Samsung. Although it was past the 14-day return period, I initially raised the issue within that window. A customer service representative advised me to give the phone about two weeks to adapt to my usage patterns. The delay in returning it was due to Samsung exhausting all possible troubleshooting steps before accepting the return, which resulted in me keeping the phone for nearly a month before finally getting it replaced.
